jpr student event coordinator
March 2021 - April 2021
The department’s signature event, the annual Journalism & Public Relations Day features prominent media professionals discussing key questions that graduates will face in the workplace. JPR Day also includes a networking and mentoring fair where students meet one-on-one with representatives from leading journalism and public relations organizations.
The half-day event culminates with a ceremony that recognizes student achievements and announces the recipients of scholarships for the next academic year. It is free and open to students, alumni and the public.
the ultimate guide to freelancing worksheet
Partnering with a classmate, we created and planned session two for JPR Day on April 13, 2021. We created the session “The Ultimate Guide to Freelancing,” where students can learn everything they need to know about freelancing but also how to thrive in today's gig economy.
I created a worksheet as a complementary piece to the session that students could have while listening to the session and can be used for the future.

The mission of this nonprofit is to help create democratically governed community projects and worker owned businesses where workers, their families and their communities can all live and thrive with dignity.
I am volunteering in their social media department designing and creating Instagram and Facebook assigned by the social media coordinator.
